If you change your mind (it happens to the best of us), or wish to return an unwanted gift, we will still refund your purchase if returned within 60 days, but the return shipping isn’t covered and refunds will be sent to the original purchaser’s method of payment. All items must be returned in original condition and in the original BotFeeder packaging.
Remember, all our products come with a 60-days warranty, so if something goes awry down the track, be sure to let our support team know via support@botfeeder.ca.
*If you are eligible, we’ll email a prepaid returns slip to you.
Exchanges

OUR PRODUCTS
Manufacturing
Are BotFeeder filament products made in Taiwan?
Aside from the fact that the PLA resins are imported from renowned corp. in the U.S., everything else from the spools, raw and consumptive materials, to the packaging are all designed and made domestically in Taiwan, as it is crucial for us to have optimized control over product quality and timely delivery.
Are BotFeeder the manufacturer?
Yes. BotFeeder is a self-owned brand of Liing Shian Colorant, with 3D printer filament being the primary production.
Liing Shian Colorant Manufacturer Co., Ltd., a company that possesses 35 years of cumulative experiences in the field of pigments and chemical auxiliaries for plastics/rubber, deals with color masterbatches for all kinds of common and engineered plastics, thermoplastic elastomer and rubber; catering for requests of designated color matching in masterbatches production is part of the services we pride ourselves with. Additionally, our very own R&D team also supplies customized functional masterbatches (e.g. conductive compound, antistatic compound, and flame retardant compound ... etc.) and develops special compounding materials.
Since foundation, our company motto has been "Innovative And Dedicated R&D", "Ultra-Precision Production", "High-Quality Control", and "Excellent Product Service". Hence, we shall continue down the path of such ideal by devoting ourselves into bringing more refined, if not advanced, products through the pursuit of renewed techniques and extensive research. Because to everyone here at Liing Shian Colorant, we believe the greatest honor can only be granted by recognition and support from all prestigious clients.
How will my purchase be packaged?
Every spool of filament is wrapped with a protective film to prevent collecting dust after production. Within minutes it will be air-tight sealed in a heavy-duty plastic bag in protecting from moisture. To go an extra mile, we use double-wall corrugated box to protect your filament from any unnecessary damage during transportation.
What is the spool dimensions?
Length: 190mm
Width: 85mm
Hole Diameter: 38mm
Materials
Our number one safety goal is to make products that are used and loved for as long as possible. So, our materials need to be kids-friendly and printed with quality results.
Our Materials
Premium resin is stable, clean and pure. It is still in its most safest and purest form. This makes it ideal for 3D printer filaments. Despite extensive ongoing research and development, we're yet to find another material that offers the same balance of qualities (eg most modified PLA perform poorly when it comes to health and safety and environmental impact).
All of our resins come from NatureWorks LLC (PLA - 4032D), Chi Mei Corp. (ABS - PA-747), which helps ensure its production meets strict environmental guidelines.
All BotFeeder Products are in full compliance of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulation.
Certified by SGS, a benchmark for safety of 3D printer filament
Certifications: PLA, ABS
Our Pigments
Nature pigments are clean and environmental friendly. All our pigments are extracted from our nature (eg fruit, flower or plant). Not only they are safer than chemical pigment, they release a pleasant sweet smell during printing.
Product Quality
Consistent quality in every spool of filament?
All products are made of virgin materials to ensure unchanging quality and quantity during production, and all materials used for filaments are supplied by globally well-known resin manufacturers.
Every step throughout the entire production is closely monitored and controlled, including filaments' diameter and roundness, and ensure products themselves are clean and uncontaminated.
The filament is not extruding?
There are many possible reasons why no filament coming out from your nozzle. It could be the filament itself and/or could be your printer. Here are a few common causes.
- Impurities in the filaments.
- Dust particles on the filaments.
- Insufficient printing temperature to allow fully molten polymer passing through.
- If printer is equipped with pure metal nozzle, as pure PLA material is known for its stickiness which makes feeding relatively difficult, having teflon tube installed should remove the problem.
As a precautionary measure, before production, all ABS/PLA pellets and color pigments undergo a filtration process to remove any larger particles that might clogged the nozzle during printing. This filtration process significantly reduced the chance of clogging your nozzle.
Bubble in filament? Popping sounds coming from filament?
If you ever heard or saw an air bubble popped during extrusion, your filament is damped. The other way to tell your filament might be damped is to look at your print surface quality. Oftentimes the popping action will leave a mark.
Here are two reasons why your filament has moisture.
- Manufacturer defects if it is a brand new unopened spool of filament
- Exposure to moist air for an extended period your filament will get damped.
Further precautionary quality-control measures are taken by making sure all raw materials have undergone drying treatment before production, as the practice of which prevents 'bubbles' occurrence during extrusion due to moisture content within the raw materials.
All products are vacuum-packed, with inclusion of desiccant, to inhibit the products from getting damped.
To prevent filament from getting damped, all unused filaments should be stored in plastic bags or containers with desiccant, for the best result stored in a dehumidifier.
Inconsistent extruding from nozzle
If you are experiencing inconsistent print results or uneven surface/layers, it is possible that your filament is out of tolerance. In other words, if you see or feel a bump or blob, you are over-extruding (too much plastic). If you have a hole or gap, you are under-extruding (not enough plastic). Today 0.05mm tolerance is industry standard.
An important machine in our production are the laser measurement systems used to check the diameter of our filament real time during production. It’s measured over 1000 times per second and helps us guarantee that each spool of BotFeeder 3D printing filament produced within tolerance. We can guarantee 0.03mm +/- on both 2.90mm and 1.75mm BotFeeder 3D Printer Filament, which means you can rest assured that your printer is extruding the exact amount of material.
What type of pigments do you use?
All color pigments are extracted from nature. NOT chemical engineered pigment. During the process of 3D printing, you'll noticed a pleasant sweet scent in the air.
Is BotFeeder filament safe?
All products are in full compliance with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) regulation.
Externally tested by SGS on an annually basis. To view test result, click here (ABS & PLA)

Product Care
Storing Your Filament
Please note that improper storage may damage your filament. To maintain its original quality, it's strongly recommended that the filament be stored in the following conditions:
- A dehumidifier cabinet or a dry and circulated area
- Room temperature
- Avoid direct sunlight or heat source
Selecting A Printer Location
Please note poor printer location will have a negative effect on your print result and possible of damaging your filament. To select the most ideal location for your printer, please follow this guide.
- Consistent temperature
- Stable air flow
- Away from furniture for safety
Avoid Tangling Your Filament
When unpacking, changing filament or unloading, It is strongly suggested to get a good grip at the end of the filament at all times in order to prevent tangling. The spool holder is specifically designed with 2 holes of each side, allowing you to secure the end of the filament by threading into it. or you can simply 3D print a "Filament clip" that is attached to the spool holder itself.
If Filament Gets Damp
Dry it slowly in room temperature. Please note that heat drying the filament will damages its quality by making it become brittle. The preferred method of drying your filament is to put in a dehumidifier cabinet or in an airtight bag with a few packs of desiccants. It's recommended to maintain a humidity level of 25% or less.

Print bed temperature: 70 to 80 C (optional)
Print speed: 30 to 60 mm/sec
Layer thickness: 0.20 to 0.40 mm
Note: *Supple material
Explanations:
*Clean nozzle
Some materials are very aggressive and will wear your nozzle over time. It is suggested to clean your nozzle tip after every print to maintain your printer at top condition. This apply to Filaglow and Filatron.
*Supple Material
Since the material itself is supple, it is therefore recommended to have the printer built with the stepper motor directly above the tube. This allows the material to exert its maximum thrust as the motor draws it in. The gap between the feeder gear and the tube should be minimal at best (< 5mm is recommended), and the diameter of the tube should be as close as possible to 1.85mm. Also be aware that the feeder gear should not squeeze too tight. Having just enough force to draw in the material will suffice. It is of utter importance that the nozzle and the heated bed are kept at a distance as the preliminary layer is extruding. Failing to do so may result in bending of the material due to excessive resistance, and render the material unable to be drawn into the feeder successfully. When the print is complete, allow the heated bed to cool down prior to removing the print. Attempting to remove the print while the temperature remains moderately high may cause distortions to the print.

Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 25 May 2018
Introduction
BotFeeder takes privacy seriously – we are committed to keeping your personal information private. All personal data we collect is kept strictly secured, and is only used for the purposes described in this privacy policy.
This privacy policy applies to information collected through our websites and any information we collect offline (for example, if you talk to our customer services team).
Who are ‘we’?
When we talk about “we” (or “our” or “us”), we mean BotFeeder Canada and all its wholly owned subsidiaries. We are based in Canada but we supply goods all over the world.
We also store backups of some data, including order details (which will include Customer Information) on our servers in Canada. We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data that we collect and process. The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing your personal data, including using the latest 256-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology to protect your Customer Information when you purchase from our online store. BotFeeder also complies with the Canadian Privacy Principles in relation to the proper use and storage of personal data.
What is ‘personal data’
Personal data is any data that could directly or indirectly identify you – this includes information like your name, address, telephone number and your email address but in some cases it may include less obviously identifying information, like your IP Address (see below).
What data do we collect
When you visit BotFeeder.ca or shop with us online, we collect information about you and your use of our website. We treat this information as falling into three categories: Customer Information, Usage Data and your IP Address.
Customer Information is the information you explicitly provide to us when you make an online purchase or sign up to receive our newsletters, including your:
- Name
- Email address
- Shipping and/or billing address
- Payment information
Usage Data is general information about how you interact with our website, such as:
- which pages you visited on our website
- how you came to the website (for example, by clicking on a link in a newsletter or from an advertisement)
- which buttons or links you clicked
- whether you have been to the website before
Whenever you visit a website (including ours), the computer from which the web pages are served (i.e. our web server) needs to know your computer’s public network address so it can send the requested pages to your browser. The public network address associated with your computer is called its “public IP Address” and is sent automatically each time you access any Internet website. From a computer’s IP Address, it is usually possible to determine the general geographic location of that computer but often not the specific computer and if multiple people use the computer not the specific user (although if your IP Address is unique to you and is published somewhere or if you later identify yourself while while using the same IP Address, it is possible that IP Address could identify you).
How we collect data
Information you provide to us directly: When you shop with us online, we will ask you to provide personal data (such as your name and address) so we can fill your order. We may also ask you to provide personal data when you sign up for a newsletter, respond to a job application or an offer, join us on social media, take part in surveys or contact us for help. If you don’t want to provide personal data, you don’t have to, but it might limit your ability to do certain things on the website.
Information we collect automatically: When you visit BotFeeder.ca or shop with us online, we collect some information about you automatically, including Usage Data.
Some of this information is collected using cookies or other similar tracking technologies that have been placed by us or by third parties. For details of how cookies work, which ones we use and how you can control them, please see our cookie policy.
How we use data
Where we collect your personal data, we’ll only process it:
- to fill orders placed by you, or
- where we have legitimate interests to process the personal data and our interests are not overridden by your rights, or
- in accordance with a legal obligation, or
- where we have your explicit consent.
The main reason we use your personal data is to fill orders and to manage our relationship with you (for example, dealing with questions about products, returns and warranty claims).
We also use personal data for other purposes, including:
To communicate with you: this may include providing you with information you’ve requested or that we’re required to provide to you, that relates to changes to our website or policies, marketing communications in accordance with your preferences or to invite you to provide feedback or to take part in research we are conducting.
To support you: this may include dealing with any questions you have about our products, dealing with warranty claims or any issues relating to our goods or services.
To improve our website: we use Usage Data to help us understand the online behaviour of our customers, which helps us to focus our marketing activities and improve the services we provide on the website. Using web analytics on our website enables us to measure, collect, analyze and report on Usage Data for the purposes of understanding and optimizing customers’ experiences on our website. We try to ensure that all Usage Data is anonymized (i.e. not referable to a specific person) unless we have your consent.
Geographical location information contained in Usage Data also enables us to tailor your experience on our website by displaying different content based on your location, such as providing content in your preferred language (where possible), showing local currency and pricing, and showing relevant advertising. Again, geographical location information is anonymized unless we have your consent.
To protect you: we use Customer Information and your IP Address to detect and prevent fraudulent activity when you want to make a purchase from us.
To market to you: we use Usage Data for remarketing (sometimes called retargeting) to better target our ads to interested customers. Retargeting uses cookies to identify visitors who visit a certain website and then doing something with that information, such as showing a particular brand of goods or services on other websites. So, after you have visited our website, you (or another user of your computer) may see BotFeeder ads on certain participating third party websites, such as on the Google Display Network and Facebook. This will only occur if you have agreed to us using non-essential cookies.
To analyze, aggregate and report: we may use the personal data we collect about you and other users of our website to produce aggregated and anonymized analytics and reports, which we may share with third parties.
How we can share your personal data (and how we don’t)
There will be times when we need to share your personal data with third parties. We will only disclose your personal data to:

There also may be times when we are legally required to disclose personal data, such as to regulators, law enforcement bodies, government agencies, courts or other third parties where we think it’s necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or to exercise our legal rights. Where possible and appropriate, we will notify you of this kind of disclosure.
We only share your Customer Information with third parties where it is either necessary to enable online transactions (such as PayPal) or where you have consented to receive direct marketing material (such as MailChimp).
Your personal data is never disclosed to third parties for remarketing or retargeting purposes. BotFeeder never sells its email lists or customer information.

There are also other tracking technologies that may be used, such as web beacons and local storage. Web beacons allow us to monitor site behaviour by delivering your IP address, any cookies we may have set and information about the page you’re visiting to a server. We use local storage to keep track of your preferences, things you've seen, temporary personal identifiers and more; the data we store in local storage generally stays on your device.
Why do we use cookies/tracking technologies?
We use cookies (and other tracking technologies – but for ease, let’s just call them cookies) for lots of reasons: they let us customize your experience (for example, seeing prices in the correct currency), operate the website (like enabling you to put things in your cart and then keep shopping) and generally make sure that your experience of our website is a good one. We also use cookies to perform analytics and deliver advertising or marketing that is relevant to you.
There are also cookies set by third parties that allow us to provide interactive content, perform analytics and enable other third party features, like payment or links to social media.
How can you control cookies?
You can control cookies by amending your web browser controls. You can also delete existing cookies from your web browser and/or disabling cookies on your computer and other devices. Depending on the particular browser you are using (for example, Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox), this can usually be done by accessing the ‘Browsing History’ through the ‘Settings’ or ‘Options’ menu (or equivalent) in your web browser, or if you are using a different device, then in the ‘Settings’ for that device.
Some cookies are essential to the proper operation of our website: if you disable cookies in your web browser, or delete existing cookies, our website may not work properly and your experience with our website will be less personalized and may make your shopping experience less enjoyable.
It is important to remember that if you delete existing cookies but do not disable cookies in your web browser, and then you subsequently visit our (or any) website, fresh cookies may be placed and you may need to repeat the process of deleting existing cookies.
You can also opt out of targeted advertising: see
http://www.aboutads.info/choices or http://www.youronlinechoices.com.
You can also alter your ad preference settings on Google, Facebook and other third parties, and on the platforms of other providers.
Finally, if you do opt out of receiving communications directly from us, we will no longer use your information for those purposes.
Do Not Track
Some browsers allow you to automatically notify websites that you visit not to track you by using a ‘Do Not Track’ signal. If you have Do Not Track enabled when you visit our website, we will treat that as you having rejected cookies and not place any cookies other than those essential to the proper functioning of our website.
Additional cookie information for those who want to know more
1. We have two ways of collecting location information, both of which preserve your anonymity – either we use only the first three octets of your IP Address for a rough location that can sometimes be wrong, or we use a browser-based Geolocation API which can only work with your explicit consent to non-essential cookies (your browser will pop up a dialog asking for your consent).
2. Even if you reject cookies, after visiting our website you may notice that you see more BotFeeder ads on other websites. This is probably because you have provided consent (even if you didn’t mean to) somewhere along the line to a third party, such as Google or AdWords, who may notice that you have visited the BotFeeder website.
3. We use (anonymous) session IDs every time you visit our website. These are essential to ensure the website works properly, but it also means that you may be served some pages (such as product recommendations) based on usage data. The session ID is not linked to any personal data and cannot be used to identify you.
4. When you place an order or sign-up to our newsletter or otherwise provide personal data, that will be linked to your session ID and the information we have collected so far (and that until then was anonymized). You can ask us to “unlink” this information at any time by emailing us at support@botfeeder.ca
